I'm a creative technologist specializing in interactive media installations. I graduated from the Media Arts and Practice Program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and I currently work at Spectra in Los Angeles, California

I am interested in using new media to broaden people's horizons, as well as using media for social change.

Shadows of Memory

My thesis project at USC, "Shadows of Memory"

Use a magic flashlight to reveal a secret love story! With the flashlight you can uncover memories of an emotional relationship hidden throughout the installation, all told through motion and dance. The characters may be invisible but their shadows aren't....

Compliment Shower

In the Compliment Shower, people can step up to the screen to face their silhouette while audience members can submit live compliments about the person. These compliments then "shower" down on the silhouette and can be interacted with as they fall.

Synchronized Swim

A site-specific installation at Wrigley Institute of Marine Science at Catalina Island, Synchronized Swim features two women swimming around a fountain. The video is projected onto the bottom of the fountain, and people can splash the water, causing ripples in the projection

Digital Theremin

I created an interactive digital instrument to assist people in learning the musical staff. I coded the 3D hand tracking, real-time video to audio analysis, and background removal programs in Processing.

Invisible Maze

A 3D camera tracks users from above, playing a noise when a user hits an invisible wall in this maze. Deaf/blind users can connect their phones, which vibrate and flash when a user hits an invisible wall. This was
proof of concept where the size was limited by the ceiling height. The prototype has been tested up to 200 square feet.

Live Perspective Tracking

I used head tracking to create a live perspective scene that can be viewed in 3D without any specialized equipment
